Interview candidates to determine suitability for hire.
Review and process applications taken over the phone, fax, Internet, mail or in person in a timely manner.
Return phone calls from inquiring drivers and mail applications as needed in a timely manner.
Obtain work history reports, MVR’s, Criminal history, and Medical information from driver applicants and perform employment verifications as required by company guidelines and DOT regulations.
Eliminate applicants from consideration who do not meet our guidelines.
Review applications and submitted documents to ensure compliance with the established hiring guidelines. Prepare, evaluate, and submit applicant file to Qualifications Analyst for final review.
Arrange travel for, and schedule approved applicants to attend orientation.
Invite approved applicants to Orientation and advise applicants that the offer of employment or contract is conditional upon the successful completion of a road test, DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen and full orientation program.
Follow up on applicants that do not show up for scheduled orientation to attempt rescheduling..
Professionally interface and provide assistance with other Celadon departments, co-workers, and drivers, as needed.
Daily, read your Electronic mail, review voicemail, and delete messages that do not require a response. Reply to messages requiring a response.
Assist co-workers as needed.
Follow all company guidelines and procedures as set forth in your employee handbook. You are required to understand 100% of its content.

Past sales experience would be an asset.
Knowledge of the transportation industry would be an asset.
Knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office Suite.
